FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov  Had a Meeting with the Minister for Family, Youth and Sports of Ukraine and Leadership of the Ukrainian Chess Federation

FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov visited Ukraine and opened "Chess Week" in Dnepropetrovsk. After that, accompanied by the head of the FIDE office in Moscow Mr Berik Baglabaev he visited Kiev where he had a meeting with the Minister of Family, Youth and Sports in Ukraine Ravil Safiullin and leadership of the Ukrainian Chess Federation. The meeting was attended by one of the leaders of Geo-Social Games Oleg Savchuk. 

They discussed the issues of mutual cooperation including a bill that was offered for consideration to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine "On the support of Chess in Ukraine", as well as the implementation of chess in the school curriculum, possibilities of holding the World Chess Championship and Chess Olympiad in the country.
